THINK about what you all of you are saying. Are you just picking the person because of what they look like; black or white, male or female. That's stupid!! Seriously if we were just picking by that we might as well pick a TODDLER and let it rule the U.S.A. I'm NOT going to tell you who I think should be the President or why. All I'm saying is pick who is the best. What do they want to do to the Country. What ABOUT the taxes, economy, military, etc.? These are the question that they (MCCAIN or OBAMA) need to answer so that our future and our kids future might be better and better, each and every time! They shouldn't have to suffer for our vote. Vote the right PERSON! Vote for the right REASON!!
WHY SHOULDN'T WE??
CHOOSE NOW!! but...
The RIGHT ONE
NOT the WRONG!!
CarolR, FROM FL, AGE 14
McCain and Obama are both good candidates but, McCain lost me with the Palin VP pick. As a Leader, you always need to surround yourself with experience, sound, smart people. For Palin to decide to keep her child after she found out the baby had Down, is not a great thing. I'm sure Palin loves her child but, there are thousands of Mom that have special needs kids who don't say hey look at me I didn't abort my child. They do what Moms do, love reguardless.
I am voting on the issues. I'm tired of the rich getting richer. I don't believe in the Republican's party ideology. It doesn't work for the middle class. I don't care if the jolly green giant was running if he was Democrat I'd support him.
Someone wrote about voting on the issues.
Lets see ...
1. Taxes.
2. Economy
3. Military
4. Socialization or Communization of our Government.
5. Foreign Policy
6. Goverment Corruption.
7. Personal Scandals.
How it works out ...
1. Taxes - Raising taxes on the 5% of people who pay the most on taxes will cause them to hide more money. Sorry the economy looses here, when the rich get singled out. Cant do that. How about a nice fair tax for all, say 10% accross the board, no exceptions.
McCain wins here.
2. Economy - A look back on the Depression shows that government intervention in the great depression acutally lengthend the problems from 1929 until 1954. Look it up yourself. Less governement here would be better. Let the corporation sthat fail, die. That is the capitalist way. Otherwise there will be many more peopl ewith their hands out latter. Again ... Socialism.
McCain wins here.
3. Military - Well you need a strong leader who loves this country to be Commander in Chief. McCains war record automatically qualifies him. Barack refused to state the Pledge of Allegiance or hold his hand on his heart or wear a flag pin on his lapel ... At least until he though it was politically damaging.
McCain wins here.
4. Socialist Nation - We are headed into dangerous territory. Socialization never works. Everyone winds up loosing except the elite. Funny how that works. Progressives like socialism because it makes everthing fair. But in reality the elite remain in control and the rich control the elite. Look at Russia, France, Germany. Sorry this is bad.
McCain wins here.
5. Foreign Policy - This is a topic that can be quite large. Suffice it to say you need to do your homework. One example ... Barack is the Comittee chair of Veterans Affairs, yet when he had a chance to meet with Veterans in a Hospital In Germany he refused because he could not make it a photo opportunity. Poor baby.
McCain wins here.
6. Government Corrpution - Barack received 180,000 dollars from Fannie and Freddie. He is the number two largest recipient in just two short years. His staff is composed of people who worked for or supported Fannie and Freddie. Barack is the ACORN superstar who taught them how to "GET" votes. He voted for millions in earmarks including the Bridge to Nowhere. Corrupt corrupt Corrupt. McCain fought corruption, co-wrote bills like McCain-Fingold to fix lobbist contributions in politics, and has been a sore in the Bush administrations side for years now.
McCain wins here.
7. Personal Scandals - Barack lives a few doors down from Lewis Farrakhan, Barack has ties to Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, Tony Rezko, Franklin Raines, Micheal Warns, and the Palastinian group he supported lead by ... Rashid Khalidi .
Google them yourself. Listen to this ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZqqGfIsEI74
McCain has no Personal Scandals.
McCain wins here.
And in case you think Palin has a personal scandal ... If I were Governer and that punk of State trooper was on my payroll, I would fire him too. Good for her.
Hope this educated everyone. But do not take my word on this. Do your own research and stop listening to the biased media outlets.
Are an idiot, and not an american. Stop following the spin of the Pro-Obama Media. Just because someone is well spoken or smart, doesn't qualify them to run a country. Do you know about his ties to terrorists? and other radical ties? Obviously not. Journalism is dead, and so is your brain.
No, I guess I DON'T know about his "ties to terrorists", so please enlighten me. And by the way, just because someone's name sounds different than yours, that doesn't mean that they're terrorists. You are ignorant, and I'd appreciate if you'd stop spreading lies about men better than yourself.
Good one Sal. It's like McCain said on Letterman the other night: Oh, wait, McCain canceled his appearance on Letterman so he could rush back to Washington. And by Washington, of course, I mean another studio where the interviewer wasn't as smart as Letterman.
... brother!
"Are an idiot, and not an american." That one is even better!
"Journalism is dead, and so is your brain" -- that's an awesome quote!
My name is Timothy Robinson. I am 17 and from Australia, so my opinion might not feel as valid, wanted, or cared for as if it was someone from America or older. But i would just like to say Barack Obama seems very determined (then again who isnt determined if you are running for president) and also i have read sources on the net and through newspaper articles (which really isnt applicable but...) that most presidents do NOT write there own speeches they give but someone else writes them (which raises the question, why dont the speech writers run for presidency awell...), but supposively Barack Hussein Obama writes three-quarters of his speeches. That tells me Barack Obama has the intellectual capacity to run a nation of millions, and with his confidence in himself, his skills and support of his campain team, he is the one. I would like to write more but that will do for know. I do hope someone does reply to my comment or tells me their opinion, i m honestly interested.
But one last thing i would like to add:
- As a world and as people. We all say the world is changing and is becoming free from racism, so may we please have a clean electoral battle for presidency. Because this can be history changing (but) in two ways. Which is what i would like you to think about.
Thank You,
Sincerely,
Timothy Robinson of Bribane, Australia

I appreciate your interest in politics, and I didn't know that Obama writes most of his speeches, but I'm not surprised, since he's brilliant and has written great books.
