Tax accountants for Chevron seem to have placed substantially additional reserve for offsets in the "real" balance sheet for recurring overseas "charges" for "licensing" Chevron/Texaco. As much as $32.-60 Billion US assessed by the Govt of the UK. Mobil isn't far behind. The run up in Barrel price has only emboldened BP which appears to have the US reserves sewed up. That means, 97% of ALL US oil is being "converted" to "foreign" sourcing including what's in the grond in the US! This is isn't PEAK oil..BP/UK is "adjusting" lease availability from the Marketplace, all over the world. Some call it taxation, i call it an act of war!
Funny thing...Chevron Texaco is suppposed to be a US Corporation with US reserves as an offset. The tax increase could ONLY come if the UK was "privatizing" or "converting their leases and/or supply credits to propietary" reserves. In other words, UK is squeezing the profits out of ALL US oil companies...trying to destroy them? It's going to work unless someone in the Senate wakes up! We need to dump Bush..asap! or Oil's going to $1,000 per barrel.
Are was all now desparate to get Nuclear Option back up and running or is UK forcing the World back to Nuclear Energy by cutting off the "oil supply". By the way, if Chevron made $45 Billion but netted only $7 billion it effectively stops Chevron from "exploration". I think this is a fascinating game..doesn't any body else want to play. What about you, Mr. Zachary...of that's right he retired!
