People often ask, "What is a Meme?" so here's a more than a little information on that. I pronounce it so it's rhymes with 'dream'; some pronounce it so it sounds like 'mem' (from mem-ory). (Via The Daily Meme)

First off, technically most of the sites here are not memes. The fact that most of these sites create new questions all the time removes the whole evolving viral concept of a meme. But most people call them that and I liked the word 'meme' so I used meme.

The Harry Potter series of books is a very moral and ethical tale. It cares about community, hope, and even faith -- a fath that the powers of good and order will triumph over evil and chaos: Christian values, some would say. Is JK Rowling spoofing us? Is Harry Potter crypto-Christian with its Messianic Harry? Well, they seem to believe so over at The Land of Unlikeness.

OK, I get "memes", I get viral and all that. But why does Mankind seem to "need" a "meme to end all memes". We know the Mayans spread the brain virus that the world will end intermittently and that the 7th world end will come in December of 2012. In fact, some of the worlds greatest scientists say that the Earth will "pole cock" iitself n 2012, when North becomes South and South becomes North and all electrical generators stop working!
