File this one under the "Meme of A Republican Controlled Senate". Here's the problem, instead of retiring from the Senate next year Senator Jack Warner should run for President because he's the ONLY one with any guts or ethics. I'd probably vote for Jack Warner. Senator Warner has been standing up to the RNC thugs in the Bush admin for years! He knows all about the "Contract On America" and the "War On the Middle Class" (NBC stole that one from zorro's old blogs!)
From the outside, the media is pretending that the RNC is "policing" itself and won't abide anymore "ungodly" sex acts. Yes, the RNC got ahead of this one! Boy...they were "johnny on the male g-spot"! whew! Democracy & Family Retail Values are SAFE with the Repugnicans in Power! Yeee Haww!
Ooops! You mean it was all for show? Sure. Sorry to be a cynical spoil "spurt" but Craig was already retiring. So all this "gratuitous" we'll save the Senate was just more "whores-hocky". Why do you think he didn't resign...that wasn't the plan.
So, Craig sacrifices "nothing" except anonymous sex...a "stall-mate" is avoided and RNC secures the headlines for two weeks. Well, guess what...it reallly pissed Warner off because he knew Craig's position has no effective net effect on Senate Control.
In response, Warner fired a shot back! He's quitting and there's a great chance a Democrap will replace him. So the Senator Craig thing was completely scripted so that everyone would think the Senate is at risk of losing another Repugnicant seat...when nothing could be further from the truth. The only "seat" the RNC lost was the "crapper!.
