ultimately, amidst all my rants and raves, experience and research clearly indicate that "religion" is "meme-positive"; "politics" are "meme-driven": the "two party system" is a "meme"; "democracy" is a memetic construct; "global borders" are memetic constructs. National boundaries are simply "memetic" place-keepers for "prejudicial memes". The GPS system can't even detect borders. "US dollars are an "emotional meme". The UN is a "meme" because the word "United" is a lie and there's no such thing as a "Nation"...it's just a "meme".
Social Class is a "meme". Social Structure is too. Is a "meme-free" State, tantamount to "chaos" or "creation". US Dollars have virtually no "inherent" value but for "meme-maintenance", used to make "memetic consumer" purchases that have no "virtual value", except that you resolved a "want" conflict.
Memetic money, like the US dollar bill isn't backed by anyhting EXCEPT the "meme-standard". A empty "promise" to pay nothing a memetic exchange. What's a "memetic standard" ? Confidence is a "meme". Slavish compliance with a "standard" that is "externally created" is memetic adherence.
"consumer confidence" is a "pure meme" and yet it is the engine of the "meme-dollar", The "meme-dollar" backed only by "memes" is directly proportional to confidence in the "meme" of America". Marketing is a "meme"! It's the "memetic system" through which "memetic dollars" are "exchanged" between two "consenting memers"> "Choice" is a physical manifestation of "memetic-differentiation".
The whole concept of "modernity" is a meme! There's no such thing as the "past"..it's a "memetic-variation" on now. There's no such thing as "consumer"..we're just "man and woman" which are in turn "memes" which I like to call "not man-meme" and the "not-woman" meme.
n other words, men and women are simply "memetic" reversals of what we think of ourselves. Alan Greespan, aka the "great American meme-weaver" couldn't predict that "home sweet home" is a "meme"; and that anything that is "counter-meme" erodes the "consumer confidence".
So, here's my question! If, before there was a "media" society, when "memes" could only be spread by "word of mouth" or through "vision"..we were all subject to "artist cave art memes". But, before ART or Conversation or "Visual Stimulation....before the 1st human ripped the Antlers off his Elk and held on to them for a keepsake to help him remember the kill and as a fetish..what were we all THINKING?
The Western Cultures say that all learning and all deception come into our minds through our "eyes"..through the visual Cortex. According to Muslim tradition...NOTHING is TRUE unless you hear it with your own ears! Makes "evidence very dificult" and "verbal testimony" becomes paramount.
So, if we are cut off from ALL media, 24/7 except what families who in turn are cut off from all contact with viral sources, 24/7...what would our "mind look like". Without religion or culture or art or creativity' or expression..what would we "de-volve" back into?
I have a suggestion...we should ask George Bush!
zorro..
holiday joke, sorry for the long ramp up!

there's no such thing as man and woman... they too are memes. We are all humans but some of us have different genitals from one another, just as some of us have different hair color. But then humanity, as distinct from animals are also memes. So in it's most elementary analysis we are all units of conciousness which is about as meme-free as it gets. (Descarte's meme: Even a deceiving god can't take that one away.)
As for what the cave-men thought and what a meme-free thought process might be, I reckon it's something like this:-
EAT BIG BUFFALO
FUCK HOT WOMAN
OHHHHHH
FUCK
ME SLEEP NOW
mwhahaho ho ho
momotaro
Those incidental genitals are also squirting heavy doses of estrogen and testosterone. Hair color does not do that. Underneath tthese surges, you're right, we're all the same.
Units of conciousness, captive to hormones and other neurological chemicals that administer our desires and fears for it's end purposes. A prisoner of biology, which in turn is prisoner to the earth, which itself is captive to the Sun, which in turn is in bondage to the epi-center of our very own Galaxy.
And I thought that being in bondage to those pesky memes was bad enough.
Will we ever be free?
