A "trained" grizzly bear owned by "Predators In Action" has bit through the neck of a trainer (Stephan Miller). . . and that's why we don't play with grizzly bears, wolves, or other wild and dangerous animals! Before this one took a bite out of its trainer it was starring in a movie with Will Farrell.
"A 700-pound grizzly bear attacked and killed a Canyon Country man at a compound near Big Bear Lake that trains wild animals for movies and television work." -- LA Times Blog
I think that this is an object lesson in why people should not go around pokign at very large animals. This thing was apparently 700+ pounds of muscle and they decided it would be great to use in show biz. . . Now it's fate needs to be decided:
"The Department of Fish and Game will decide the bear's fate after an investigation, Tiffany Swantek, a spokeswoman for the Big Bear Sheriff's Station, told the San Bernardino Sun Tuesday." --Fox News
If people would simply let animals like this exist in isolated woodlands instead of dragging them into captivity, then this sort of thing would not happen.
