if Galil(io) discovered a moon of the planet "Ju-piter" named "IO" in the 1600's..then why in Helel...had the ancients named the planet Jupiter or "Father of Io" 3,000 years before? It would appears the ancients didn't NAME the Planet at all...they just called it the "Father of IO". So, why didn't the ancients give Jupiter its own name? It's possible that Velikovsky was 1/2 right in "Worlds In Collision" were he claimed "Venus" was created from Jupiter's side...in the last few thousand years.
On the one hand, it does explain why the ancients refer to "Venus" as a "star" instead of a "planet"...and why there was NO name for the Planet "Jupiter" that came bounding in to steal "little Io's" place in the Solar System. In other words, it's possible that "Io" was the ORIGINAL name for the "6th" "secret elemental planet"...especially when it's the Brightest "planet" after "venus" in the entire sky. But that's not the ReAL mystery.
Why was it necessary for the Catholic Church and European "sources" to credit "Gallil(io) with it's discovery? In the past few years a NASA fly-by discovered the surface of "Io" is actually made up of 100% "Liquid Ammonia". Curiously, when Roman troops invaded Egypt nearly 2,000 years before..they saw hundreds of mounds of white powder surrounding the Temple of "Ammon", in Karnak.
It seems, the Priests of the Temple of "Ammon" had already been "harvesting" "the salt of ammon" for about 1,600 years, long before the Romans arrived. The Salt of Ammon or "Ammon-ia" is the 1st "spirit" of Alchemy..the most powerful because it "melts" or "eats" metals. When the Roman commander returned...the Roman Pantheon of Gods was immediately "Amended" to incorporate the Egyptian God "Ammon"...as the "Equal" of "JUPITER"..."the father of io"
The question is...how did the Roman's make the "connection" between "the salt of Ammon" or "Ammonia" and Jupiter...if they didn't know that the surface of the moon "Io" was 100% Ammonia! Curiously, the Priests of Ammon may have begun to "distill" ammonia by burning "Camel Dung"...which turns into a fine ash powder of pure "ammonia".
When the deity of "Ammon" was first referenced in Egyptian writing, his name was "imn"...'pronounced' "ayman"..when literally means "The Hidden 1". The Greeks called "Ammon"! It is also curious to note that the "Greeks" had actually ruled over the Egptian Temples for nearly 500 years, after Alexander Conquered it...before the Roman Army "visited".
Eventually, the "cult" of "imn" or "amun" or "amen" eclipsed even the most powerful and oldest of all "gods"...Ra...or The Sun! So, why would the "hidden 1" eclipse the sun? Especially in view of the fact that the "Symbol" of the Sun God Re..was none other than "SOLID GOLD".
