I have always resisted discussing Russell Family connections, because they may be too close to home. But, it seems appropriate when we start talking about the Forbes Family Opium fortune. It seems that the Forbes Family sold all of its "Phildelphia Opium Clippers" to the Russell Family as in "Russell that founded Skull & BOnes. Although Murdoch may not directly descend from the "China/British Hong Kong" Forbes. You get the point.
A few months ago, zorro had the luck to travel to Philadelphia, review the "Wackenhut" security morons with loaded side arms and go to the Waterfront Museum. (Admiral Dewey's GunShip was awesome!)
As you enter the Museum, after you pay the irritating museum volunteer who was chatting with a "fbi clerk" on lunch hour...second Gallery on your right, as you circle around to your left you see a model of a Yankee Opium Running Operation with the name of the owner of the vessel and Borse agent who was running Opium from Shanghai to Philadelphia and whence to Washington, DC.
So, despite the fact you may be shocked out of your gourd that "polite" society of Philadelphia Quakers were the primary "importers" and "distributors" of Opium in the US..don't be! Opium was legal then. Heroin is actually a "synthetic substitute" for Opium. It's original intended purpose was just like "methadone" today. Heroin is actually a "TradeMark"Chemical.

If you are interested, Rupert Murdoch's dad was "Sir Keith Murdoch". Sir Keith was the son of Patick John Murdoch, grandson of Rev. James Murdoch and Helen Garden (nee Pitsligo); great grandson of Helen Garden's Parents who were Helen Young (1802) and James Young, who in turn was the 3rd son of Eliza Forbes and William Young, Rupert's great-great grandparents. Eliza Forbes, herself was the daughter of William Garden (1747) and Elizabeth Logie, so these were his g-g-g-grandparents. Eliza Logie was in turn the daughter of George Logie and Eliza Forbes (born st. Nicholas) and Eliza Forbes was the natural daughter of Rev John Forbes, Scottish Episcopal Clergyman, and Minister of Stoneham. He married Margaret Farquaharson. (1735)
THe Forbes Family 1st came to the US and began the massive Opium Shipping Operation out of Boston and Philadellphia. Wikipedia can fill you in on the rest.

The first "Forbes" in America was "John Forbes" who came to Boston in l740, when Rev John Forbes had just married Margaret in Scotland. It appears, he was a brother of Sir. Rev John Forbes, Minister of Stoneham.
If Murdoch IS a FORBES it means his Father's lineage is more imposing than his mothers...at least as far as the US is concerned. One more fascinating fact...if you go to wikipedia, Forbes Family, you'll see that "Alexander de Forbes" fought and defeated that bastard Edward 1 of England, when he invaded Scotland in 1303. Keep in mind Bush is a direct descendant of Edward 1.
So, I have one question! Why in the HELL is FOX Pro Edward 1st? Keep in mind that as Karl Harr, Jr, Cutler and J D Jackson were scripting thousands of pages of "Cold War Content"..they were publishing the "hoax" at Time Life/Fortune and Forbes Magazine. Ironically, FOX NEWS may be the main contributor, whipping boy and cheerleader for the New "Muslim Cold War" Hoax.
