[AUDIO] Interview with Canupa Gluha Mani - Lakota Freedom Delegation

I have been in contact with someone very close to all of this. Here are the words of Canupa Gluha Mani (Duane Martin Sr.). The interview is a little over thirty minutes long but the file size is relatively small - less than 6MB. It is an MP3. Does anyone notice that Russel Means is doing precious little of the talking on all of this?

VOICES OF RESISTANCE

Assalaamualaikum,

As an American ex-pat (living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) and convert to Islam, I support this historic turn of events. Indeed, those of us who recognize the Autonomy of our Creator, The Great Spirit, stand in solidarity with the Lakota People.

We are but a breath of life, a momentary breeze on the face of this beloved planet. So let that breath be enobled by the intention and deeds of our brothers and sisters, the Lakota. And let it be said we did not stand in silence and breathe this breath as cowards, fearful to do anything other than pray in solitude.

Mr. Means confronts Goliath and reminds him he is naught but a mortal heathen, a breath become foul and rancid with the blood of innocence. May Allah increase the right hand and arm of the Lakota, and may those whose new breath awaits the final hour, look on and be proud once more of this people so long asleep, so long waiting a man of strength and vision, a man unable to fear his own breath because he knows the Giver of all breath.

Wasalaam alaikum,

Omar Zaid bin Abdullah, as’Siddiq, M.D.
Research Fellow, ISTAC, K.L. Malaysia

Perhaps it is better he stays in the background. Given his baggage and the Hollywood connection which does help attract MSM attention, but also lends itself to charges of typical shallow Hollywood liberalism and hype, the spokesperson should be someone who commands respect both within the nation and without.

Russell Means does not command respect within or without the Lakota Nation.

Neither he nor any of his co-secessionists speaks for the Lakota nation.

They only represent themselves.

I would say : Wait until the true representatives of the Lakota people are heard from.

Once again we have a comment that fits the same old pattern I have been writing about at EENG; when faced with four faces the most easily smeared is claimed to be the only one there at all.  I think we are discovering a vast, undiscovered epidemic of some whole new mental illness.
